Lincoln Ladies, please join the Ladies League for their Spring Par-Tee April 22nd.

The night will be fun and a great way to meet other members and Ladies League members. Arrive around 5 or so to check in and grab a beverage from the bar.

5:15-5:45 Lincoln Golf Pro, Jeff Gowell, will be running a free chipping clinic. Bring your chippers if you want to participate! After that, head on over to the putting area and put those new chipping skills to test in a chipping contest. The one who chips closest to the hole wins a prize!

We will have a Kelli Marquette present with fabulous items from Glove It, Zero Restriction and more… There will be cash and carry items as well as order forms for items not on hand.

The Committee for the Lincoln Memorial Tournament is accepting applications for 2021 scholarships.  This reverent event was founded by former Lincoln Member, Beth Smith, after the death of her husband, Don Smith.  The tournament was created to honor active Lincoln members who passed away in the preceding membership year, and to raise funds for our youth to use to help pay college or vocational/technical school expenses.  The proceeds from the event are placed into an advised investment fund with the Muskegon Community Foundation.  At year end the fund balance was over $82,000.

Each year a scholarship is awarded to one or more graduating high school seniors who are the son, daughter, or grandchild (step-children included) of a Lincoln Stockholder Member.  The number and amount of scholarships are determined by the Scholarship Committee.

Interested high school seniors must submit their application package no later than April 15th, 2021.  These scholarships are competitive and not all applicants are assured award.  An application can be downloaded from the club website (www.lincolngolfcourese.com) or by contacting Jeff Gates at jeffgates1@aol.com.

Applications due:   April 15, 2021

Sincerely,

THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

Lincoln Members & Friends,

As most of you are aware, we have seen a significant spike in Covid-19 cases in our community. Governor Whitmer has issued a statement putting some additional guidelines in place to help slow the spread of this disease. We as a club, want to make sure we are doing what we can to keep everyone safe as well. With the safety of our staff, members, and guests in mind, we have made the decision to close our facilities and golf course for the remainder of the season, effective immediately.

We look forward to seeing all of you in the spring!

Sincerely,

Jeff Gowell, PGA

General Manager
